The Husband did some volunteering at the Emergency Room of the local Catholic hospital.  It was a pretty quiet ER, just the occasional ambulance.  Mostly it was asthma attacks, allergic reactions, and the like.

When The Husband commented on how calm it usually seemed, the nurse replied, “All the crazies and the drunks go to [Other] Hospital.  They don’t climb the hill, and we’re on a one-way street.”  Apparently those two factors make it insurmountable to reach [Catholic] Hospital for anyone except the sane and sober.

We didn’t give it much thought until last weekend when we drove past [Other] Hospital and saw 2 police cars making an arrest right outside the doors.
